Can you imagine getting through a day without saying or thinking...
What's the point of accepting your body in an appearance-obsessed society? Believe it or not, your body probably is not the problem. Whether you might be dealing with body dysmorphic disorder or just struggling to maintain positive body image when those around you are only focused on appearances, we can work together to heal and support a healthy realtionship with your body. Image exposure, mirror therapy, and challenging the negative thoughts about your body will be part of this journey to self-acceptance.
What I'm reading...
Days at the Morisaki Bookshop
I'm not always reading clinical books. Actually, a big part of my self-care is reading things that have little to do with
therapy. This slim book was a holiday gift and is a translation from Japanese into English. The story of a broken-hearted twentysomething living in the top floor of her uncle's overcrowded
bookshop has a evocative sense of place and is a quick read.
