Reclaiming        Body Image in (peri)menopause

Menopause and the years leading up to it can be a wild ride. Hormonal changes that can make puberty look like a cake walk can leave us feeling confounded by our bodies. Even long-dormant body image issues can come roaring back to life. Join us to connect with others while we discuss:

  • how to reconnect (rather than resist) your body
  • understand the role of societal expectations and messages
  • bolster skills toward improving your relationship with your body
  • explore your decisions on how to manage hormones, aging, and midlife in a safe, supportive environment.
  • In-person and telehealth options
  • Evening groups available

The Nourishment Group

In this 8 week online support group, members connect over the challenging (and triggering) nature of parenting while trying to manage eating disorder recovery. Daytime and evening groups enrolling. Subjects will include:

  • triggers around feeding and mealtimes
  • navigating weight focus
  • your child reaching the age your disordered eating started
  • setting boundaries
  • and so much more to discuss!!!

Yoga for Body Image

Discussing feelings about our bodies is important, but it does not always promote the level of healing relationship we expect.

Adding a respectful movement practice to reconnect with our bodies can support a multifaceted approach toward recovery.

   

Join me online Sunday mornings at 

8:00am EST for a gentle yoga practice including:

  • Breathwork
  • Gentle movements and postures with standing and seated expressions
  • ending meditation and savasana

Practice will incorporate elements of body neutrality, acceptance, and appreciation throughout both meditation and movement.
